There’s new stuff on my Etsy store! Let me introduce you to my Herring Collection, a series of intricately beaded bracelets made with herringbone stitch. Right now there are four versions for sale with more to come.

The AB coating on the rectangular beads and the metallic stripe makes me happy.
I’m loving the new macro lens I got for my camera. Look at that detail!
Note the edging I added to this one. It was kind of difficult to do with those tiny beads, but I’m nothing if not stubborn.
I’m a suck for anything shiny. My husband sometimes calls me “Magpie Mae.”
So much metallic goodness. This one is definitely eye-catching.
The hook-and-eye clasp is beautiful AND pretty damn easy to fasten with one hand.
Yes, I can make classy stuff. I was surprised, too. This is by far the most elegant thing I’ve ever made.
The drape of this bracelet is incredible. I flows over the wrist like liquid.
This toggle clasp is made from stainless steel, which I find to be more hypoallergenic than plated base metal.
This more subtle look combines glossy olive green with metallic dark bronze.
The green beads are slightly transparent, so the color will depend slightly on what you wear underneath it.
Magnetic clasps are by far the easiest type to fasten. You’ll never have to ask for help to wear this bracelet.
To celebrate the launch, I’m participating in the upcoming Etsy sale! From August 31 to September 4, these bracelets will be 10% off. You can find the Herring Collection by doing an Etsy search for SkirkbucketStudio (one word) or by using these links:

See? I TOLD you I made a bunch of bracelets! They mostly ended up here, but I will have some for sale on my Etsy site soon. In the meantime, did you know I take commissions? (NOTE: the silver bracelets and wire-wrapped pendants are by another artist who’s name I don’t know. They’re freaking gorgeous.)
Give me rusty old tape measures and I will turn them into earrings. Each pair is unique. I grind down all the edges by hand and coat them with sealer so they’re safe to wear without worrying about scratches and rust stains.
Simple leather braids both with and without pendants. Made in various sizes to fit women AND men.
Besides my wares, the Art Center and its shop feature some truly amazing art by local artists. Go show them some love!
